Lisa Selby is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) with 20 years of experience working with children and families in various capacities including schools and residential settings. She has been employed with the University of Maryland Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry since 2009. During her time with the Division she has worked in public school systems to support the behavioral health needs of students and to educate school staff on best practices for supporting social-emotional skillsets and behavioral prevention and intervention strategies within a multi-tired system of supports (MTSS). Lisa recently transitioned to her current role as the Program Manager for BHIPP. Her experience includes program development and implementation, data collection and analysis, supervision, developing and manualizing policies and procedures, and training for school staff and families. Lisa is trained in a wide range of evidence-based clinical practices as well as social-emotional learning interventions and has presented at many local and national conferences. She is an approved clinical supervisor by the Maryland Board of Professional Counselors. Recent publications include “The core components of evidence-based social emotional learning programs” in Prevention Science.
