Erika Chiappini, PhD is an assistant professor at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She serves as the Director of Postdoctoral Training for the Pediatric Medical Psychology Fellowship Program. Dr. Chiappini specializes in the assessment and treatment of children and teens with anxiety disorders and chronic and acute medical conditions. She provides cognitive-behavioral and behavioral interventions for anxiety, depression, and behavioral challenges, non-adherence to medical regimens, adjustment to diagnoses, pain management, sleep, etc. Her research interests center on factors associated with successful treatment outcomes in youth anxiety and youth coping with chronic medical conditions. Dr. Chiappini has also served as a behavioral consultant for the BHIPP co-location social work internship, providing didactics and consultation on evidence-based treatments for youth mental health problems.
