Co-Location Internship Program Overview

BHIPP partners with Salisbury University to offer a co-location internship to masters level students working towards licensure in a mental health field. This program addresses BHIPP’s dual mission of improving access to pediatric mental health services while also bolstering workforce development.

In this model, students are placed, or co-located, in a pediatric primary care practice while receiving year-long continuing education in key pediatric mental health topics and training and supervision in evidence-based treatment strategies. During their internship, students offer screening, referrals, and brief intervention to children and families.
